Sam has just completed shooting the title role in the upcoming Imperative Pictures feature film ‘Imperfect Sky’. Sam’s recent leading roles include the part of Fergal Doherty in the BBC drama ‘Waterloo Road’, Kyle Scott in ‘Casualty’ and Edwin in ‘Vikings’, the History Channel’s first multi-part television drama series. Sam played the part of Michael in TV3’s 6 part drama ‘Deception’ and he can be seen as Johnny in ‘A Dark Reflection’, which has just opened in cinemas having had its international debut at the Cannes Film Festival.

AWARDS | TRAINING

In 2014 Sam was awarded an O-1 visa as an artist of “extraordinary ability”, sponsored by his managers, Connie Tavel and Vera Mihailovich at Forward Entertainment. Sam attended drama school at the NCDT accredited MMU School of Theatre, graduating with a BA in acting; he went on to train under the mentorship of leading directors, including Kirsten Sheridan and Lance Daly, as part of the Factory/Bow Street Screen Acting Programme where he was guided by actors such as Danny Devito, Cillian Murphy and Tim Roth. Sam is a member of the Actors Studio, led by casting director Maureen Hughes and award winning director Shimmy Marcus; he has further experience in improvisation and comedy, having trained at the renowned Upright Citizen’s Brigade theatre in LA and the Soho Theatre comedy school in London, where he won the Jules Harworth bursary; Sam has written and developed a series of satirical films and his work was selected to be featured on YouTube and FunnyOrDie. Sam has a BADC qualification in stage combat and he works in a wide range of accents, having trained with some of the top dialect coaches in the industry.

Sam’s previous work includes ‘Plough and The Stars’ for the BBC, Timeless Man (which screened at the Cannes Film Festival) and the award winning short film ‘How to Say I Love You’ which, having reached over 3,000,000 views, has become one of the most popular videos worldwide in its category. Sam’s commercial and voiceover credits include national campaigns for major brands such as Jeep and he has provided character voices for major films, animations and video games, including the recently released Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Sam is represented for voiceover work by Kazarian Measures and Associates in Los Angeles.
